Del Nido al Cielo

I encountered the swallows at the airport, the blackbird in the cherry tree, the dead turtle dove on the platform, the wren on the yarumo tree, the toches under the banana trees, the turtledove with its nest in the gutter, the wren in the garage, the chirlobirlo at my window, the eagle in the lagoon, the swallows over the León de Greiff, the thrush pecking at the corpse of the copetón in the park and the mockingbird in the garden. I encountered these beings and was touched by their importance; the pause became necessary; giving them attention changed my world. It opened up the possibility of questioning what my attention is directed towards, thinking about my relationships and the gestures of my work.

This work stems from the desire to build a nest and the dream of flight.
